DesigniToy

Part of a Toy Design course, titled "3D printed toys".

The idea behind this project was to take the world of designer toys to the next level, making use of home 3D printers. The toy has a body which is hand made out of premium materials such as glass, wood or metal, and comes with 3D files of the body parts that can be changed by the taste of the consumer.

 

The objective was to create an open source world, where everyone can design their own unique toy and share it over the internet for others to download and print. Attached with the hand-made main body to create an opposition to the cheap, instant, PLA plastic 3D printing.
